John White is a former Ballard High Standout in Louisville Kentucky. He also attended University of Southern Mississippi where he helped lead the Golden Eagles to an NIT Championship victory.   This is a significant pause in history because it is not only the first of this kind of win on the campus, but it is the only one that the university has had in its history.  From there John went on to play professionally 14 seasons playing in Europe.

John has played at the highest level in Europe and was the leading scorer for the league while playing in England, France, Cyprus, Austria, Venezuela and Finland.  His dynamic leadership on and off of the court earned him a plethora of accolades and awards in several of the countries he played in.  Mr. White is known as "the man to get the ball to in the clutch".  His skillful ability to create shots from anywhere on the court earned him the "MVP" title on most of the teams he played.  His passion for the game of basketball coupled with his experience has earned him several coaching positions since his tenure .  It comes as no surprise that , during his first year of coaching a semi-pro team, that John would snag a championship title.  In addition to that, he is still revered as one of the greatest shooters in the game of basketball (according to his peers and previous coaches alike).  His shot precision technique is sought after by many who encounter him.  He is no amateur by any stretch of the imagination.

To add to his credits, White is an outstanding basketball coach who combines a wealth of coaching and playing experience at the highest level. He has experience in managing AAU teams as well as player development for organizations that focused on professional athletes. In 2012 he was inducted into the University of Southern Mississippi Basketball Hall of Fame, as he scored over 1200 points in his college career.  John has been a key figure and head coach at the annual summer league that is a partner with the NBA. Not only did he partner with the NBA but he has trained former NBA players such as Mike Pietrius of Orlando Magic and The Boston Celtics, Linus Kleiza of the Denver Nuggets and Kimani Ffriend  during his brief stint with the Memphis Grizzlies.  He has also assisted many of the talented ball players who did not get a shot in the NBA, to secure jobs in other countries. He has used his professional basketball knowledge and experience to mentor and impact the careers of many outstanding emerging professional players. John won the Chicago GBSL championship in 2009 and was named Coach of the Year.  Coach White still has unbroken records in some of the countries that he has played in. He received countless outstanding accolades throughout his career which has now spilled over in to his coaching successes today.  His style of coaching to build dynamic players on and off the basketball court is second to none.  He is known for teaching sound fundamentals and skilled technique.  Mr. White presently holds the head varsity coaching position at Central Christian School in Sharpsburg, GA.

Off the court, Mr. White is a family man with 4 children and a wife who all adore him.  His motto is to serve God with your whole heart and all that you desire will fall into place.  He is truly living proof that this principle works...
